Pastor
Welcome! I am so happy that you stopped to find out more about our church community. It is said that, “…every journey begins with a single footstep.” For those of you who are contemplating a new spiritual journey, I hope that visiting our website today will be a “first footstep” in the journey of faith that will encourage you to take a second step, a third, and many more, and will promote a desire deep in your heart to get to know us better. I pray that you will join us when we gather together for worship, or for one of our other special events held throughout the year.

We are a welcoming community, and look upon strangers as friends that we have not met yet, which is to say that there truly are no strangers, all are welcome in God’s house. In Jesus, God has made God’s home in the midst of human lives. God’s home is our home and your home. Come home!

We are a faith filled and faithful Christian community, gathered together by the power of the Holy Spirit, forgiven and renewed by the power of God made known to humans through ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus. Claimed by God through baptism, enlightened by Holy Scripture, and transformed by our encounter with Jesus Christ in the sacrament of Holy Communion, we rejoice in God’s grace, and share God’s love by following in the footsteps of Jesus. We encourage and support one another. Together we seek to fulfill our mission to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, serving with love the needs of all.

We model our ministry on the footsteps of Jesus. We note that, while Jesus journeyed throughout his earthly ministry, Jesus welcomed all into the kingdom of God through preaching, teaching and healing those who were troubled, ill, sick, dying, and in desperate need of healing. We believe that, just as Jesus did then, God continues to reach out today to those who are struggling with the difficult challenges of everyday life, and continues to meet each person at that point in life when they are in most need, whatever the hardship might be. We respond to the love that God has shown to us in Jesus by looking for opportunities to serve others in need of healing, in Jesus’ name, so they too can experience the love, peace, and healing that comes through the gift of faith in Jesus Christ. I hope to see you in church!!

Your servant in Christ,

Pastor Mary Owens
